Next MIBB Symposium
Hands-on workshop on vacuum biopsies
Hands-on workshop on newer marking techniques
(Magseed and Radiofrequency)
As in the years before we will have another MIBB Symposium and MIBB Hands-on workshop together with the Swiss Senology Congress taking place in Lucerne Sep 16th – Sep 18th 2020.
Minimal invasive breast biopsies (MIBB) is what we are primarily focusing on, hence, our main topics will address controversies in the context with BIRADS classification, new vacuum biopsy techniques, international guidelines on B3 lesions but also newest marking techniques of breast lesions together with preoperative planning in the neoadjuvant setting.
Optimal preoperative planning is strongly related to optimal breast imaging, be it within a screening or diagnostic setting. Tomosynthesis has been demonstrated to detect more cancer but is still under discussion due to its drawbacks. If artificial intelligence (AI) could be a solution to more effectively manage the huge amount of tomosynthesis data, will be discussed by one of the leading physicists and also clinicians.
I am looking forward to welcoming you to our MIBB events together with the Senology congress in Lucerne.
With cordial regards
Dr. Claudia Kurtz
Presidency of MIBB
